Job Description

GENERAL STATEMENT:
This position is responsible for overseeing casino operations in a managerial capacity. This role primarily focuses on protecting the interests of the third-party group, ensuring that associates are matched with appropriate games based on their skills, and managing the flow of staff as game types of change. The Supervisor is also responsible for maintaining good working relationships with casino staff and providing exceptional customer service to all participants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage floor operations by issuing chips to gaming associates and ensuring their safe return with appropriate documentation.
  • Observe table action for possible unusual behavior or irregularities with emphasis on big action games.
  • Ensure associates have sufficient chips and confirm chip counts during shift changes to maintain accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures by all associates.
  • Provide coverage for breaks and fill in when needed, ensuring continuous operation on the gaming floor.
  • Assist in opening and closing games, ensuring all operational and security procedures are followed.
  • Train and mentor associates by providing ongoing training on game rules, company procedures, and customer service standards, ensuring they are equipped to handle various game types.
  • Counsel employees when necessary, providing constructive feedback, addressing performance issues, and ensuring all staff are meeting company expectations.
  • Foster a positive work environment by maintaining good communication, motivating staff, and ensuring high team morale.
  • Address customer concerns quickly and professionally, ensuring a high standard of guest service is always maintained.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., surveillance, HR, and training) to ensure a seamless experience for guests and staff alike.
  • Monitor staff performance on the gaming floor, ensure adherence to company standards, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels by coordinating with the Shift Manager to address any gaps in coverage or any operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations, effective management, and compliance with all applicable laws and company standards.
GAMING AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous LA Card Room Gaming Supervisor Experience (TPPPL side)
  • 1+ Year of Third-Party Experience
  • Game Knowledge: MUST have previous BJ, TCP, UTH, Baccarat, PGP TPP experience.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED; at least one (1) year experience as a gaming associate or demonstrated knowledge of casino games, procedures, and rules.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to effectively converse and write in English; able to read and comprehend simple instructions; and effectively communicate with employee, patrons, guests, and casino personnel.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written and oral instructions; ability to make sound decisions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires constant standing, walking around, and frequently reaching with hands and arms as well as using hands to handle or feel. Must be able to work not less than 2 hours of overtime when business needs mandate longer shifts.

PAYRATE:
  • Gaming Supervisor: $27 upon successful passing of all required assessments at the end of training *Training rate is listed below
  • Hours: Graveyard shift (shift start time between 8pm – 8am)
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to apply for this position.
  • Must be able to secure licensing through state (DOJ) and local agencies. Disqualifiers include felony convictions (no matter how long ago) or a misdemeanor conviction involving dishonesty or moral turpitude within 10 years of application per DOJ regulations.
  • Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Successfully pass a basic mathematics assessment which includes questions involving basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentage calculations.

  • Paid Training – $19.00 dollars an hour for four (4) to five (5) week full-time and will be held at the ACME Corporate Office in Cypress, CA.

LICENSING FEES:
  • As you will be working in a casino, registration and licensing fees are required by the Department of Justice for a comprehensive registration process and background check, including DOJ/FBI fingerprinting and clearance from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.
  • Fees are administered by the California Gambling Control Commission for the issuance of the state badge, with a $2,500 background check deposit.
  • An additional fee of $10 is required by the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.
  • We offer a defined payment plan to assist with these fees and the licensing process, as well as an incentive partial reimbursement of $750 background check deposit.
  • Two separate fingerprinting rolling fees are required.
