Position Overview:
The Construction Compliance & HR Officer will oversee business and construction licensing, permitting, and regulatory compliance while also playing a key role in managing and organizing our human resources framework. This position is ideal for someone with expertise in state and local construction regulations, business compliance, and HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure company compliance with all state and local business and construction licensing requirements, permits, and regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing compliance laws and implement necessary adjustments.
Assist in contractor and employee credential verification and ensure proper licensing is maintained.
Develop and refine some HR policies, employee handbooks, and internal processes to support workforce compliance.
Handle some HR-related documentation, employee records, onboarding, and compliance training.
Work closely with management to ensure adherence to labor laws, employment regulations, and company standards.
Serve as a point of contact for compliance-related audits and inspections.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in construction compliance, permitting, and business licensing required.
Background in human resources, employment law, or HR policy implementation preferred, but not required.
Strong knowledge of state and local labor laws and construction industry regulations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to maintain compliance across all departments.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) or equivalent experience preferred, but not required.
Compensation Package:
Competitive salary between $60,000-85,000 based on experience and interview performance.
