Dispatcher (Pick & Load Department)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Communicating all day-to-day updates pertinent to all key departments.
  • Scheduling inbound receiving appointments via phone and email.
  • Processing inbound and outbound orders in our Taylor Farms system.
  • Keeping up with all daily tasks, SOP for dispatch in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicating and interacting with all company and inbound drivers including communicating the necessary information provided by the coordinator.
  • Responsible for training new additions to the dispatch team when applicable.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed in a timely fashion.
  • Assign seals to outbound trucks.
  • Ensure driver’s documentation procedures are accurately followed.
  • Proper tracking of arrival and departure times must be completed and accurate.
  • Bills must be printed for completed loads.
  • Pick tickets must be printed as required.
  • Logistic log sheet updated accurately as needed.
  • Ensure phone calls and message distribution are done in a timely fashion.
  • Handle in a timely fashion all calls for inbound appointments.
  • Ensure Receiving paperwork is accurately compiled.
  • Proper change over procedures followed at beginning and end of shift.
  • Responsible for following all policies and procedures established to implement, maintain and ongoing improvement of the SQF program.
  • Ensure all GM, PPE and safety procedures per Taylor Farms requirements are being followed.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by the Transportation Supervisor.

Experience and Ability Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Individual should be a self-starter with the ability to analyze and improve existing processes.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clerical position.
  • Individual should be a strong candidate who can motivate colleagues to achieve daily goals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

We are looking to fill 2 positions on the following shifts:

  • Friday to Monday, 11AM-9:30PM
  • Friday to Monday, 9PM-7:30AM
