Job Purpose

The Environmental Analyst is an entry level role within the Engineering Department at Armada Analytics. The position entails working with senior staff completing ASTM compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. Data research and interpretation, communication with local, state, and federal environmental agencies, review of environmental documents, and effective writing will all be required to be successful in this position. A high level of multi-tasking, organization, and an ability to stay on top of multiple projects all with specific deadlines will be required. The position requires critical thinking skills for completion of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments as well as client communication skills while dealing with a variety of client types.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the completion of at least two ASTM compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments per week
  • Locate, research, and disseminate current information for environmental reports with a primary focus on multifamily properties
  • Write Phase I Environmental Site Assessments based on information provided by senior staff as well as based on information obtained via research
  • Complete mandatory Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests on select properties
  • Analyze and develop site maps
  • Analyze data and upload radon test results for select properties
  • Complete report edits as necessary
  • Contribute to property condition assessment reports as needed
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a college or university in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, Engineering, or similar programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Phase I ESA topics including underground storage tanks, soil and groundwater sampling, asbestos, lead-based paint, radon, historical maps, and environmental database reports.

Working conditions

  • This position is office based in Troy, MO. Some travel may be required.
