Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Porter/Groundskeeper to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our apartment complex and adjacent small airport. This dual-role position requires flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to manage a variety of indoor and outdoor tasks to ensure both facilities are well-maintained and welcoming to residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Apartment Complex Duties:Perform daily cleaning of common areas including lobbies, hallways, laundry rooms, stairwells, and restrooms.
Remove trash and debris from grounds, dumpsters, and parking areas.
Sweep, mop, pressure wash, and sanitize outdoor areas as needed.
Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing door handles, or reporting larger repair needs to maintenance.
Assist with snow/ice removal, landscaping, and seasonal property upkeep.
Notify management of any safety hazards, damage, or potential issues.
Maintain cleanliness of terminal areas, hangars, and public restrooms.
Empty trash cans and recycle bins regularly.
Assist in maintaining runways and taxiways (e.g., debris removal, sweeping).
Monitor and report any safety concerns on airport grounds.
Perform general groundskeeping including mowing, weed control, and fence line maintenance.
Support airport staff with occasional light facility maintenance or deliveries.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or groundskeeping roles a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor outdoors in various weather.
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and time management.
Must be able to pass background checks and airport security clearance if required.

Use of hand tools, cleaning chemicals, lawn equipment, and light maintenance tools.
May require flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends.
