POSITION: HEALTH & NUTRITION EDUCATOR

REPORTS TO: Nutrition & Education Programs Supervisor

Adagio Health is looking to hire a full-time Health & Nutrition Educator for its Uniontown office to serve Fayette County partners.The pay for this position is $19.40/hour.

The Health & Nutrition Educator will support the implementation of:

  1. SNAP-Education - a program delivering nutrition and physical activity to the low-income population along with public health approaches to support implementing education into action.
  2. Other Nutrition & Education Department programs and initiatives as needed

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Initiates and delivers education in a variety of settings.
  2. Ensures curricula is delivered as intended following program guidance and guidelines.
  3. Delivers engaging, interactive, and concise lessons.
  4. Builds relationships with program partners to enhance program delivery and effectiveness.
  5. Maintains regular communication with program partners.
  6. Initiates, leads, and provides technical assistance on supporting projects-based partner needs.
  7. Delivers indirect channels.
  8. Completes all required documentation, data tracking, and data entry by determined deadlines.
  9. Provides high quality customer service and participant recruitment in coordination with other Adagio Health initiatives as appropriate.
  10. Collaborates with other educators to share ideas.
  11. Works/travels in any offices as needed.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. BS degree in public health, education, nutrition or a related field.
  2. Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to: develop, provide and evaluate education programming.
  3. Experience in youth education in a school setting and in public health is desirable.
  4. Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable car.
  5. Travel is required on a regular basis.
