HR Specialist

Location: Kansas City, MO
Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Specialist to support daily human resources operations at a respected senior living community. This onsite role plays a vital part in maintaining efficient HR processes, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance
  • Support recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and preparing offer letters
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation, including I-9 processing, training coordination, and benefits communication
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and act as a liaison between staff and HR leadership
  • Track open positions and provide timely updates to leadership
  • Contribute to HR initiatives and help enhance internal processes and policies
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of HR experience in an administrative, generalist, or managerial role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred (not required)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS/ATS systems is a plus
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
