Our client is a multi strategy hedge fund with over $12 billion in assets under management. They are looking to bring on a Utilities Analyst to join their energy focused team.

Job Description: As a Utilities Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and evaluating investment opportunities within the utilities sector. You will leverage your analytical skills and industry knowledge to support the energy sector lead and contribute to the overall performance of the fund.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of utility companies, including electric, gas, and water utilities.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and economic indicators impacting the utilities sector.
• Build and maintain financial models to support investment decisions.
• Prepare detailed investment reports and presentations for the investment committee.
• Collaborate with other analysts and sector leads to ensure a cohesive investment approach.
• Stay updated on industry developments and continuously refine analytical methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-6 years of experience in equity research or the buyside with a focus on the utilities sector.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulatory landscape.
