JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work from Drawings, specifications, and job layouts; use a variety of precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators and all vernier instruments with a high degree of accuracy.
* Lay out and plan machining operations, perform difficult machine set ups
* Make adjustments to programs as required and operations involving the improving of tools and machine along with improvising of standard equipment for unusual adaptations.
* Set up, adjust, and operate various types of milling machines, boring mills, engine lathes, tracer lathes, and drill presses; to perform a wide variety of operations on a diversified line of close tolerance work with a high degree of accuracy.
* Setup , Machine all types of jobs, repeat, pre-engineered or new development jobs in all metals (common and less common) with no supervision
* Select speeds and feeds, operational sequences and tooling for required operations.
* Grind tools, spin blocks, rollers, rings, etc..
* Responsible for equipment, material, work and keeping the work area clean and organized.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School diploma or G.E.D. along with trade school or experience in lieu of all types of machining methods
* Lathe or milling machining background
* Aerospace industry background
* Work requires knowledge of machining, shop mathematics and shop practices, plus 10 years" experience.
* Be dependable, work well with others and focused on job being done
* Be neat and orderly around work area
* Must have a valid OSHA fork truck license and hold 1C and 3A hoisting license.
* Ability to read and write English.
* Must have Vertical Lathe Experience
