Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a contract job with a client in Kalamazoo, MI . We are looking for an experienced Engineer to join our operations team, supporting formulation/packaging and validation/qualification activities . This role will also focus on driving reliability programs to enhance equipment uptime, operational efficiency, and overall facility performance. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to implement safety, quality, efficiency, and cost improvements while leading technical programs that support continuous improvement initiatives.

Salary Range: $40.00/hour to $45.00/hour

The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Manufacturing Engineer job responsibilities include:

· Act as a subject matter expert for packaging operations, supporting daily activities, troubleshooting, and process improvements.

· Lead and execute annual Continuous Improvement Projects with measurable impact.

· Conduct deviation investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

· Execute validations, line trials, and author change control documents.

· Assist in developing batch records, protocols, and SOPs.

· Perform reliability analysis, root-cause investigations, and preventative maintenance optimization.

· Support validation assessments using Quality Risk Management tools.

· Provide project management to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.

· Travel to equipment manufacturers for factory acceptance testing as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

· Degree in Engineering or a related field.

· 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software is a plus.

· Experience in Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement tools, and statistical analysis.

· Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Familiarity with Microsoft applications and statistical software such as Minitab.
