Media Buyer / Paid Media Specialist (E-Commerce | Outdoor Industry)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Hours: 20–40 hours per week

Experience Level: 1–3 years

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Media Buyer / Paid Media Specialist with a passion for the outdoors and experience in e-commerce to help scale our paid media efforts while maintaining high ROAS and low CAC. You’ll play a key role in leading from a data standpoint, understanding the type of content that converts, and using that knowledge to optimize and scale our paid media campaigns.

In this role, you’ll own and manage paid media campaigns across Meta (Facebook & Instagram), with opportunities to expand into TikTok Ads and Google Ads. You’ll have full decision-making autonomy within platforms, but you’ll also receive weekly support from a performance marketing consultant to help guide strategy and scaling efforts.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own & optimize Meta ad campaigns (Facebook & Instagram) from setup to scaling.
  • Conduct ad creative testing, iterating on performance insights.
  • Lead content strategy, analyzing data to understand the type of content that converts and refining campaigns based on those insights.
  • Manage a $1M+ annual paid media budget, ensuring strategic allocation.
  • Maintain high ROAS and low CAC while scaling ad spend efficiently.
  • Report on key KPIs (ROAS, CAC, CTR, LTV, MER), providing actionable insights.
  • Leverage UTM tracking & Google Analytics for accurate attribution and data analysis.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, platform updates, and compliance changes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on ad creative & messaging for performance.
  • Expand into TikTok Ads and Google Ads (if experienced).
  • Work closely with a performance marketing consultant for additional strategic guidance.

What You Bring:

  • 1–3 years of experience managing paid media campaigns for e-commerce brands.
  • Passion for the outdoors and familiarity with the outdoor industry.
  • Experience managing $500K+ in ad spend, with the ability to scale to $1M+ annually.
  • Proficiency in Meta Ads & Facebook Business Manager (REQUIRED).
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Shopify, RevenueRoll, and Klaviyo (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of TikTok Ads and Google Ads (A plus, but not required).
  • Experience in ad creative development and proficiency with Adobe tools (Photoshop, Premiere, etc.).
  • Self-sufficient with decision-making autonomy, but open to collaboration and feedback.
  • Ability to stay on top of platform trends, algorithm changes, and compliance updates.

Bonus Points If You:

  • Have experience scaling e-commerce brands from $50K/month to $100K+ in ad spend.
  • Understand full-funnel attribution models and how they impact ad spend efficiency.
  • Have a track record of A/B testing ad creatives and landing pages.
