Job Description

ComResource is hiring a Sr. Network Engineer/Architect in Springfield, Ohio (must be available for on-site work). This is a Full Time position, so C2C is not available.

When looking at the Organization’s Network, we would like someone who can ensure the company's network infrastructure is robust, secure, and efficient. Here are some key tasks and responsibilities they would undertake:

1. Assessment and Analysis : They will start by assessing the current network infrastructure, identifying any weaknesses, and understanding the company's requirements and goals. Provide a full analysis report showing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and possible security threats within the network.
2. Design and Planning : For the opportunities if needed, they will design a network architecture that aligns with the company's objectives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. This includes creating detailed network diagrams and documentation.
3. Implementation : The architect will oversee the implementation of the network design, working closely with the Network Teams to ensure proper installation and configuration of network hardware and software.
4. Security : Ensuring the network is secure is a critical responsibility. This involves checking out firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures to protect against cyber threats. Also, working with the IT Security Manager and aligning with his priorities.
5. Integration : If needed, they will integrate new technologies and systems with the existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and minimal disruption to business activities.
6. Performance Monitoring : They will check out current monitoring tools to make sure we are continuously tracking network performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensuring optimal operation.
7. Documentation and Training : They will document all network configurations, changes, and procedures. They may also provide training to IT staff on network management and best practices.
8. Collaboration : They will work closely with other departments, such as IT, security, and management, to ensure the network meets the company's needs and supports its operations.
9. Future Planning : They will stay updated on the latest networking technologies and trends, planning for future upgrades and improvements to keep the network current and efficient.
10. Troubleshooting and Support : If needed, providing support for network issues and troubleshooting problems as they arise is an ongoing responsibilities

Required Technical Skills:

• Must have heavy experience with Cisco suite, Switches, Wireless, Firewalls etc.
• Must have some experience with assessments as they are looking for this person to come in and make sure they are set up correctly
• Lots of legacy tools – “how do we keep them stable”
