Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Gastroenterology Discipline: Nurse Practitioner Duration: Ongoing 40 hours per week Shift: 9 hours, days Employment Type: Staff Location Remote (must reside in Massachusetts) Required Skills and Experience At least 3-5 years of NP experience IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) experience GI experience Masters or doctoral degree Current Massachusetts license DEA license Nice to Have Previous experience working from home Job Responsibilities Provide diagnostic and assessment services, including taking health histories and performing physical exams. Order and interpret diagnostic tests. Analyze data to determine health status and differential diagnoses. Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement care plans. Manage therapeutic regimes for patients with acute illnesses, modifying plans as needed. Document patient outcomes and communicate with physicians. Maintain delineation of privileges, including scope of practice, treatment of emergencies, physician consultation, and prescribing authority, renewing as necessary. Prescribe medications from Schedules II-VI, following proper registration procedures.
