Payment Posting Specialist (Hybrid Role - Plano, TX)

Location: Hybrid (Main Office in Plano, TX)

We are a trusted partner in healthcare, supporting one of the largest primary care providers in North Texas. We are looking for a Payment Posting Specialist to join our centralized Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team in a hybrid role based out of our Plano, TX office.

Key Responsibilities

As a Payment Posting Specialist, you will:

• Accurately post payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts from insurance carriers and patients.
• Balance daily work batches and reconcile posted items in the practice management system to bank transactions.
• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for accuracy and consistency.
• Identify and correct posting errors to ensure accurate patient and financial records.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure all patient revenue is reflected in the general ledger for monthly financial reports.
• Assist with patient inquiries regarding payments and account adjustments as needed.
• Maintain an organized audit trail and prepare deposits for the bank when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• 0-3 years of experience in a medical business office or payment posting role (entry-level opportunity).
• Experience with AthenaOne (preferred but not required).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile financial data.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Hybrid Work & Office Location

• This is a hybrid position with a mix of remote and in-office work.
• The main office is located in Plano, TX.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods and use hands for data entry.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift/move up to 30 pounds.
• Frequent interaction with patients and staff in a collaborative work environment.
