Location: UCHealth UCHlth Longs Peak Hospital, US:CO:Longmont
Department: LPH GI Lab
FTE: Full Time, 0.8, 64.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Flex
Pay: $19.67 - $25.57 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary: Facilitates the safe and efficient flow of patient care in the perioperative department. Places IVs and performs blood draws.
Responsibilities: - Performs clinical tasks including taking vital signs, placing IVs and drawing labs. Assists in preparing and transporting patients for surgical procedures and prepping operative sites.
- Assists and facilitates room turn over and gathers supplies and equipment.
- Supports patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Assists with department quality audits.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements: - High School diploma or GED.
- IV Certification. EMT or LPN. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
- No experience required.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
