Pharmacy Technician – Data Intake, CPhT

• $19.00 per hour
• Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; weekends/OT as needed

ROLE IMPACT
As a Pharmacy Technician with the Pharmacy Team, you will play a vital role in medication preparation and intake operations, supporting pharmacists and ensuring accurate, timely prescription processing. Your work will directly support patients fighting cancer by ensuring safe and efficient medication distribution within a high-volume, high-touch environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accurately enter and process new prescriptions and refills following pharmacist review
• Verify patient information, prescription accuracy, and required authorizations
• Assist in safe medication distribution and uphold pharmaceutical care standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and adhere to HIPAA and other regulations
• Answer phone calls and provide administrative support as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years’ experience in a data intake pharmacy setting
• Active TX and KY Pharmacy Technician Licenses
• Typing speed (WPM) required
CLINICAL SKILL SET
• Prescription interpretation and dosage calculations
• Familiarity with pharmacy software and claims adjudication
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs if needed for fulfillment support
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and pharmacy compliance standards
• Strong multitasking, time management, and communication skills
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) – active TX and KY licenses required
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Prior oncology or specialty pharmacy experience
• Experience supporting high call volumes and fast-paced environments
• Familiarity with pharmacy inventory control systems
