Benefis Health System, a large level II trauma center and regional tertiary referral center in Great Falls, Montana, is seeking a full time Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join their dedicated team of 7 orthopedic surgeons and 5 surgical advanced practice providers in a hospital employed orthopedic practice. The position offers full spectrum orthopedic trauma services at one location with a stable, long term orthopedic group including trauma, total joint revisionists, spine, shoulder, sports med, hand and generalists, plus mid-level support if desired. Facilities include 10 main ORs, onsite ASC, 2 Davinci robots with O-arm and Hana table, a 33 bed emergency department with 3 large trauma bays, CT scan staffed 24/7, and 2 board-certified ER physicians on shift at all hours. The hospital has an in house air ambulance program with fixed wing and rotor wing for inbound and outbound transport, dedicated ICU intensivists 24/7 in a 21 bed mixed-ICU, and a robust hospitalist team including swing and night shift admitters. The general schedule is a 2-week repetitive rotation with week one focused on inpatient trauma duties (5-day work week M-F, 24-hour orthopedic call M/W, day call Tu/Th/F, rounding, consults, and dedicated trauma block time daily starting at 12 pm) and week two on clinic week/elective surgeries (4-day work week, no call, flexible schedule, dedicated OR block time). Weekend call obligation is shared with all general orthopedic surgeons (1:7 weekends).
