Job Description

A Summerville-based law firm is seeking a dedicated and client-focused attorney with a strong interest in real estate law to manage residential and commercial property closings. The ideal candidate will bring legal expertise, professionalism, and a relationship-building mindset to a team-oriented environment that values precision, client satisfaction, and local engagement.

Duties:

Manage end-to-end real estate closings, including sales, purchases, and refinances of residential and commercial properties

Review and assess property titles to identify and address issues

Collaborate with real estate agents, lenders, buyers, sellers, and brokers to facilitate seamless closings

Draft, analyze, and finalize legal documents such as deeds, leases, contracts, and financing agreements

Guide clients through the closing process, offering clarity and addressing concerns

Approve disbursement ledgers and authorize checks associated with transactions

Foster and expand referral networks and community relationships

Lead training sessions and informational meetings for prospective clients on property law topics

Requirements:

Active membership (in good standing) with the South Carolina Bar

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on responsiveness and clarity

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and contribute to business development

Interest in community involvement and expanding client engagement

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in South Carolina

Skills:

Attention to detail and document accuracy

Professional and empathetic client interaction

Time management and multi-transaction coordination

Familiarity with real estate transaction software (preferred but not required)

Public speaking or training facilitation (for client education sessions)
