Why You'll Love This Role: As a Senior Accountant, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity in our accounting processes. You'll manage day-to-day accounting tasks, conduct monthly financial reconciliations, and play a key role in maintaining our high standards of financial reporting and control. This full-time hybrid position offers the flexibility of one remote workday per non-close week, and you'll report directly to our Accounting Manager.
What You'll Be Doing: - Payroll Mastery: Post payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related Balance Sheet accounts in collaboration with our payroll department.
- Financial Wizardry: Reconcile bank accounts, Tax Payable, and Property Tax accounts with precision.
- Insightful Analysis: Review P&L for cause of change explanations or re-classes, ensuring our financial statements reflect true performance.
- System Savvy: Recommend and implement modifications to our accounting systems and procedures for enhanced efficiency.
- General Ledger Guru: Prepare various general ledger reconciliations and record appropriate journal entries.
- Monthly Close Excellence: Assist with monthly close processes, financial statements, and reporting packages.
- Process Improvement: Develop and document business processes and related accounting procedures to strengthen internal controls.
- Automation Advocate: Seek ways to improve workflow and automate reports whenever possible.
- GAAP Compliance: Ensure adherence to GAAP principles and assist with internal management financial reporting.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Cross-train and assist with other accounting functions as needed.
- Financial Problem Solver: Answer accounting and financial questions through research and data interpretation.
- Special Projects: Take on exciting special projects and perform additional assignments as needed.
What We're Looking For: - Big 4 Experience: Preferred but not required.
- GAAP Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP principles.
- Tech-Savvy: Prior experience with NetSuite ERP System is a plus.
- Industry Expertise: Healthcare insurance accounting experience is preferred.
- Growth Mindset: A desire to learn and expand your skill set.
- Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excel Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Excel.
Education and Experience: - Degree: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field.

- Staff Accountant: Recent college graduate or 1+ year of experience.
- Senior Accountant: 3+ years of experience preferred.
Certifications: - CPA: CPA certification is preferred but not required.
