Senior Content Designer

Our Brand & Creative team is seeking a Senior Content Designer to lead our customer experience language strategy. This role is ideal for someone skilled in UX writing and marketing copy, fluent in clarity and persuasion, with a keen sense for commerce-driven journeys.

You will own content across onboarding, purchase flows, emails, webpages, and product touchpoints, making legal services approachable while enhancing business performance. If you thrive on collaboration, understand strategic messaging, and are passionate about helping customers navigate complex decisions, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating and optimizing onboarding, purchase, and product flows, emails, sales collateral, and scripts, blending clarity with persuasive storytelling.
• Understanding our products, customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform copy.
• Transforming complex legal topics into clear, supportive language that builds confidence and drives conversions.
• Collaborating with product marketers, designers, managers, legal, and other teams to craft seamless customer experiences.
• Maintaining and evolving LegalZoom's brand voice across all touchpoints for consistency.
• Crafting emotionally resonant copy that connects human needs with our products' benefits.
• Identifying opportunities to improve UX and business outcomes through messaging strategies.
• Contributing to our content design system, promoting best practices in accessibility, usability, and commercialization.
• Managing multiple projects and priorities effectively, incorporating feedback with clarity and speed.

Qualifications include:

• Extensive experience in content design, UX writing, or marketing copy for digital products, especially ecommerce or online services.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in English, History, Journalism, or related fields.
• A portfolio demonstrating impactful work on onboarding, purchase journeys, and emails.
• A passion for solving customer problems with clear, thoughtful messaging.
• Strong collaboration skills to build trust and communicate effectively across teams.
• A strategic mindset comfortable with ambiguity and iterative testing.
• Knowledge of UX best practices, accessibility, and content system thinking.
• Proficiency with Google Docs and content-first design in Figma.

LegalZoom is a remote-first company with a salary range of $104,600 - $139,500, depending on various factors.
