Job Description
Elite Construction is seeking an experienced reliable and competent Structral Steel Fabricator/ Welder to assist with our many commercial projects in and around our area.
Must have a driver's license and a car (no exceptions).
Must be able to pass drug screening.
Must have own fitting tools (squares, levels, tape measure)
Hard working and dependable need only apply!!
Custom metal fabrications -- lay out / fit up / welding. Read blueprints and pull field prints measurements.
Experience required Structural Steel Fabricator
Examples of type of work: stairs, platforms, handrails, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum
The position is for a fitting position in a (stairs, handrails, etc.) shop and on the road. To layout and fit, applicant must be able to read shop drawings and have experience in steel fabrication. $26.00-29.00 depending on experience.
Must not be afraid of heights.
Hours are currently 40 with some overtime on some weekends.
Some out of town work is required. Home most weekends.
Only apply if you have experience with Fabricating Stairs and Handrails or Combo welding
Design, cuts welds and shapes metal and steel structures to blue prints.
Evaluate engineering prints
Design new parts and producing them according to specifications
Evaluate finished product and performance quality
Work is typically Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm plus overtime (some weekends required)and some out of town work required

Position Requirements:
* Prepare/Fit/& or Weld steel according to blueprints.
* Maintain a clean work area
* Wear Personal Protective Equipment (Safety glasses, mask/respirator, work gloves)
* Read and understand Miscellaneous and Structural Steel Fabrication Drawings.
* Read and Understand a tape measure - to the 1/16th
Work off the shop drawings
Must be able to pass drug screen
Must be able to welding test on site
* Coordinate with other members on crew to ensure timely completion of projects
* Take orders from Shop Foreman but also be able to work without guidance
* Assist others with tasks as needed
Follow all OSHA and safety rules
* Be able to identify different material & label as needed
Be able to travel when required
Pull field measurements
Full Time position with overtime and some travel when required
Must be able to pass drug test a
MUST BE ABLE TO GET TO WORK ON TIME DAILY
Some weekend work will be required
Must be able to pass on site welding test

$21.00- $24.00 depending on experience
