We are currently seeking a Traffic Coordinator to join our team and support the efficient planning and execution of domestic and international material shipments. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with multiple vendors, freight carriers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities: Request freight quotes from land, air, and ocean carriers for material shipments. Review and approve freight charges from carriers for material transportation. Analyze materials stored at the Freight Forwarder and develop load plans for shipment. Participate in meetings with suppliers to discuss freight rates and service agreement adjustments. Coordinate material movements with land, air, and ocean carriers. Review and verify documentation required for customs clearance and material releases. Visit suppliers and/or clients to oversee material deliveries outside of the facility. Request documentation from suppliers for the transportation of hazardous materials. Complete required paperwork to ensure smooth inbound and outbound shipping operations. Recommend logistics plans for all types of materials to the sales team for customer orders. Train and support the sales team on best practices for material movement. Provide timely updates to suppliers and carriers regarding shipment status. EEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled.
