  Schedule:

• Shift: Nights – 3x12-Hour (19:00 – 07:00)
• Block Schedule: Not available
• Call:
  • 16–20 on-call hours per 6-week schedule depending on staffing
  • Option to pick up one extra weekend and one weekday shift instead of call

Job Description:

Meritus Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor and Delivery RN to join their LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) unit on night shift. This role requires a highly skilled RN with experience in obstetric surgical recovery and the ability to manage the full spectrum of perinatal care, including mother/baby assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in all phases of obstetric care: labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
• Support OB surgical recovery, especially post-cesarean section patients
• Manage and monitor fetal well-being and maternal status during labor and delivery
• Educate and support new mothers and families regarding newborn care and postpartum recovery
• Document care using Epic EMR
• Participate in on-call rotations or additional shift coverage based on department needs
• Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, pediatrics, and support staff

Qualifications:

• License: Active RN license in the state of Maryland or compact RN license
• Certifications: BLS, NRP (preferred/required per facility guidelines)
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP or Labor & Delivery experience
  • Experience with Mother-Baby care required
  • OB surgical recovery (C-section) experience highly preferred
• EMR: Proficiency in Epic required
