VP, Product - Retail Assortment and Space Optimization

Reports to the SVP, Product Management

MUST HAVE RETAIL / CPG EXPERIENCE

We are seeking an innovative and strategic leader to join our team as the Vice President of Product for the Assortment Planning and Space Optimization Suite. This role will be instrumental in driving the vision and execution of our cutting-edge solutions in planogram, assortment, and promotional optimization, ensuring they deliver maximum value across central and store-level operations. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of retail planning and optimization technologies and a proven track record in leading product teams to achieve market success.

What you will do :

  • Lead the strategic direction and roadmap for the Planning and Optimization Suite, including Planogram Optimize, Assortment Optimize, Promo Optimize, and the newly developed Category Optimize. Launch new capabilities along with Copilots and Agentic workflows.
  • Oversee the development and enhancement of Apps for central and store-level planogram planning, compliance, and optimization, ensuring seamless API integration with third-party assortment, promo, and price planning tools.
  • Drive the innovation of the Application for planogram design, execution, and distribution, focusing on improved efficiency and user experience.
  • Enhance scenario planning capabilities across assortment, promo, and category optimization to support data-driven decision-making for our clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment in product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Engage with customers and industry stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, shaping product enhancements and ensuring competitive differentiation.
  • Develop GTM product documentation collaborating with product marketing and ensuring sales and pre-sales teams are fully trained and equipped.
  • Establish product pricing strategy for new capabilities, build incubation plans for new products.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What you will bring to SymphonyAI :

  • A strong background in product management within the retail technology sector, specifically in planning and optimization tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading successful product initiatives from ideation to launch, with a focus on user-centric design and business impact.
  • Strategic thinking and proven ability to influence and execute at an executive level, aligning product strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Deep understanding of retail operations, planogram, assortment, and promotional planning, with a track record of driving growth and innovation.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality results.

Requirements / Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in retail technology solutions, particularly in the areas of planogram, assortment, and promotional optimization.
  • Experience building AI applications (Copilots and Agents) in the enterprise SaaS space.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven product development.
  • Experience with API integration and managing complex technology ecosystems.
