Job Details Your Role and Responsibilities
- As a CNC and Manual Machine Tool Operator, you will play a key role in transforming raw materials into high-precision components. Your responsibilities include:
- Setting up and operating CNC, lathe, and vertical machine tools according to engineering specifications.
- Utilizing overhead cranes to load and secure materials, ensuring safe machining of forgings exceeding 100,000 lbs.
- Performing progressive machining operations with minimal supervision, focusing on accurate machine setup.
- Inspecting parts using measuring devices and blueprints to ensure they meet tolerance specifications.
- Contributing to process improvements and providing guidance to less experienced machinists.
- Maintaining proper coolant ratios, performing routine maintenance, and deburring parts as necessary.
Qualifications
- We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our team:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math and blueprint reading skills.
- Prior machining experience is a plus, but we are willing to train entry-level candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Basic computer skills.
- Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- The position involves working in production areas where forklifts, overhead cranes, and related equipment are in use. You may occasionally be exposed to heat, outside weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise levels. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.
Additional Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to pass a lift evaluation (up to 65 lbs.) pre-employment.
