Coordinator RN - ASC PACU - Main Campus at Optum summary:

The Coordinator RN at the ASC PACU Main Campus provides direct nursing care and ensures patient safety and comfort according to professional and legal standards. This role includes team leadership to optimize unit flow and functioning within a nationally recognized multi-specialty healthcare organization. The position requires nursing licensure, clinical experience, and supervisory capabilities to deliver high-quality patient care in an ambulatory surgical setting.

The Registered Nurse Coordinator is responsible for providing direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills, and for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards. As a coordinator he or she will provide team leadership to enhance the station or unit flow and functioning.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate from an approved RN nursing program
• Valid and current Texas RN license
• Current BCLS through American Heart Association
• 2+ years in a clinical area related to assigned department
• CRT experience
• Experience leading a team
• Proven ability to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population and for CPR, oxygen administration and intravenous therapy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Specialty nursing certification appropriate to specialty area assigned
• ACLS
• 2+ years of ambulatory care
• Supervisory experience
• Windows- based computer skills

The hourly range for this role is $34.42 to $67.60 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
