Job Summary:

As a Financial Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients make informed financial decisions, develop strategies for financial growth, and manage their financial risks. Your expertise will guide individuals in areas such as investments, retirement planning, tax planning, and estate planning. This position requires a deep understanding of financial markets, trends, and regulations, as well as strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships. This role is an in-person position .

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through financial planning, investment management, retirement planning, and wealth preservation strategies.
  • Meet with clients to identify their financial needs and objectives.
  • Develop customized financial plans that align with clients’ short-term and long-term financial objectives.
  • Conduct thorough financial assessments and recommend investment strategies based on risk tolerance, market conditions, and financial goals.
  • Monitor and review clients' financial portfolios regularly.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, financial regulations, and investment products to provide clients with the most up-to-date guidance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including portfolio managers and tax professionals, to develop holistic financial strategies.
  • Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities while maintaining and strengthening existing client relationships.
  • Contribute to business growth by identifying potential clients, effectively presenting our services, and converting leads into long-term, loyal client relationships.
  • Ensure all client interactions and financial plans comply with regulatory and firm standards.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Preferred certifications/degrees: CFA, CFP, MBA, or progress toward obtaining these or a related designation.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning, investment advisory, or wealth management.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and risk management strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Skilled in working with multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working within an RIA or fee-based advisory firm is a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial software tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Financial Modeling/Planning Software, CRM Platforms).
