Job Description

Role: Microbiology Lab Technician

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Duration: 6 Months

The role involves performing routine laboratory testing and supporting functions in a regulated environment, including microbiology testing, environmental monitoring, and maintaining lab equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine testing (sterility, bioburden, environmental collection, etc.) per established protocols.
• Prepare media and maintain device history records.
• Collect environmental samples from cleanrooms and perform data entry.
• Assist with testing validation and revalidation activities.
• Support lab inventory management, equipment calibration, and general lab housekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations.

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Knowledge of laboratory processes, QSR, FDA, ISO regulations.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of microbiology or laboratory experience, preferably in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment. LIMS knowledge a plus.
