Job Title – Safety Coordinator

Location – 3540 Portugee Rd, Sandston, VA (100% Onsite)

Role Type – Contract to Hire (6 months initial term, potential for full-time employment)

Must Have Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of safety experience or a closely related field (e.g., EMT, nursing, military)
• OSHA 30 certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build rapport and deliver constructive feedback
• Proactive approach to safety and compliance

Responsibilities and Job Details:

• Support foremen in developing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) in alignment with OSHA standards
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations
• Assist in designing and delivering employee safety training programs
• Promote safety awareness and enforce safe work practices
• Conduct workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards
• Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near-misses
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and incident records
• Contribute to emergency response planning and training efforts
• Monitor and ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
• Communicate safety updates through bulletins, posters, and internal channels
• Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to build a positive safety culture on-site
